TRAVEL DIARIES

Online - Self-Paced (not Zoom)

Are you a world traveler? Do you just enjoy seeing the sights and visiting new places? Maybe it’s time to document your journey – or several journeys over time - and the experiences and discoveries that came with it.

Travel memoirs can include themes of self-discovery, cultural exploration, or reconnecting with one's home country. Your story through travel should have a central theme or message - what you saw, what you learned, what you discovered, the people you met along the way, or the special people you traveled with. Get ready to tell your travel tales…

This online class promises fun and inspiration along the way as you engage in conversation with other participants, share trips and experiences, and finally write about such an extraordinary part of your life's story!

FOOD MEMOIR: A LIFE TOLD IN DISHES

Online - Self-Paced (not Zoom)

Writing a food memoir creates a lasting legacy that preserves your family's history, traditions, and culture in a deeply personal way. Recipes and culinary stories act as a tangible bridge between generations, allowing descendants to connect with their heritage and understand the lived experiences of their ancestors.

Share your experiences with food through the lens of memory and imagination. Food memoirs can reflect on the events, relationships, emotions, and thoughts tied to food, cooking, and eating, and can also explore your growth and change over time. Use your narrative to convey your food journey using personal stories, foibles, words of wisdom, and recipes to anchor your path along the way.

This online class promises fun and inspiration along the way as you engage in conversation with other participants, share recipes and experiences, and finally record such an important part of your life's story!
